Today’s date – 8/18/18 – equals eight, according to numerology.
Eight signifies a new beginning, a new order or creation. Numerology teachings state the key elements of eight are strength, power, and balance. And, that it encompasses a combination of the material as well as the spiritual worlds. On its side, eight depicts the symbol of infinity – limitlessness, everlasting, eternity.
There are teachings where eight represents “that which is beyond nature.” Other writings profess it to be a karmic equalizer, a balancing of power. In biblical terms, eight signifies the faithful; the saved; the resurrected; the loved; the graced; all symbolizing new beginnings, throughout the Old and New Testaments alike.
With “eights” abound I felt prompted to post since this blog signifies a new beginning for me, launched on 8/8/18.
Eight is my birth month, which tends to give me pause. Often reflecting on the year that has past, the age I’ve become, and the year ahead as I continue to circle the sun.
This year – 2018 – has been my year of “transitions.” A job change sparked my desire to reevaluate professional and personal ambitions. Building a creative life has become paramount in both – hence this creative writing blog.
I will proceed, trusting that in the grand scheme of things all is well, as it has been in the past, is in the present and will continue to be in the future – the place of all new beginnings.
