I am Maryann Alvarez…a wife, writer, avid runner, media executive who used to call on Hollywood; a beauty maven, podcast junkie, garden lover, museum enthusiast, Godmother of adorable twins, Pink Floyd, Clapton, and Sade fanatic; voracious reader, loyal friend, beachcomber, photographer, shell collector; a jeopardy nerd, quick-witted creative warrior who (according to my husband) is an excellent cook.

I mentor and coach others, have been a fitness instructor and semi-professional Polynesian dancer. I cry at parades, love to laugh, always wear black, and “love this town (NYC) even when I hate it.”

As I shared in my maiden blog post “And so it Begins…” having a creative outlet via a blog has interested me for quite some time. However, I really never knew where to begin.

Faced with a challenge and a deadline I finally took the plunge on 8/8/18 while working to find my next act between corporate gigs.
